The Government of Canada officially released the Building a Nation of Innovators report last February, which portrays a new approach to innovation policy in Canada. This plan will aim to develop a culture of innovation, stimulate growth and create jobs to position Canada as one of the most innovative and competitive countries in the global economy.
Kinova’s President and CEO Charles Deguire took part in one of the Economic Strategy Tables following his nomination by the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, who entrusted Mr. Deguire to lead the Table on Advanced Manufacturing.
These Economic Strategy Tables highlighted a set of growth factors and published a series of recommendations on innovation and competitiveness, so that Canada could take its place in the global innovation race.
This report puts forward an integrated approach that focuses on partnerships and brings together key stakeholders from across Canada's innovation system. The report also highlights the new drivers of economic growth, which will create new business models that will support the advent of new businesses.
