PRACTICAL GRASPING

The underactuated fingers allow the grabbing of many of the objects of daily life without the need to overthink the grasping method. Once the object is within the gripper, the mechanically intelligent fingers will adapt to the shape of the object and hold if firmly.

The grippers have passive compliant fingers using flexible material (patent pending) that allow unintentional contacts without damaging the gripper or harming the individual.
